He said Haji Khazir Mohammad Sheikh remained a constant source of support for Er Rashid throughout his political journey and earned admiration from students and people across Jammu and Kashmir for his dedication and values.

Inam Un Nabi urged the Government of India to grant Er Rashid immediate release on humanitarian grounds so that he can attend his father’s last rites.

“It is a son’s basic right to bid farewell to his father. No political difference should come in the way of human compassion at such a time,” he said.
