KISHTWAR, MAY 15: A comprehensive review meeting on the progress of works under the Local Area Development Programme (LADP), Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and Rehabilitation & Resettlement (R&R) Plans of major hydroelectric projects was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma at the New DC Office Complex, Kishtwar.
The meeting reviewed ongoing developmental works associated with the Pakal Dul, Kiru, Kwar and Ratle Hydro Power Projects, which include key infrastructure and welfare initiatives across the district.
Among the major projects reviewed were the 63 MVA, 33/11 KV Receiving Station along with a 33 KV line at Hasti Kishtwar, construction of Veterinary Complex with residential accommodation at Kukerwas Drabshalla, development of high-density orchards, water lifting schemes, renovation of government schools, and upgradation of power distribution infrastructure in tribal areas.
The Deputy Commissioner took a detailed review of both physical and financial progress of ongoing and completed works and stressed timely execution of all development projects for public benefit.
He directed all concerned departments and executing agencies to ensure expeditious completion of works and emphasized that any requirement of funds for priority projects should be promptly brought to the notice of the administration for timely resolution.
The DC also instructed departments to ensure submission of Technical Sanctions (TS) within stipulated timelines and stressed fixing accountability in cases of delay. He further directed officers to accelerate pending works while maintaining quality standards, transparency and efficiency in execution.
Officials from departments including RDD, Education, Health, Agriculture, Youth Services & Sports, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Municipal Committee, PWD, Jal Shakti, REW, Fire & Emergency Services, and JPDCL presented updates on the progress of ongoing works.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Vinod Kumar Behnal, Assistant Commissioner Development Manoj Kumar, along with other senior district officers.
