Shopian witnessed a series of sports, awareness, and wellness activities under the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyaan (NMJKA) aimed at promoting a drug-free society and engaging youth in constructive activities.
Events included an Inter-School Sports Tournament at GHSS Kaprin featuring volleyball and kabaddi matches for under-14 girls, where young athletes showcased talent and sportsmanship.
A seminar at Polytechnic College Shopian focused on raising awareness about drug abuse, attended by MLA Shopian Shabir Ahmad Kullay as Chief Guest, who emphasized community responsibility and the role of educational institutions in tackling the drug menace.
Under the 100-day campaign, multiple awareness drives, sports activities, and yoga sessions were conducted across the district to promote physical fitness, mental well-being, and a healthy lifestyle among youth.
