Srinagar, March 9: All government and private schools in the Kashmir Valley reopened on Monday after the winter break. School authorities had made the necessary arrangements, and teachers were prepared to resume regular classes.
The reopening marks the end of the annual winter vacation, which had been extended due to harsh weather and protests following the assassination of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei by Israel.
The government announced on Sunday that all educational institutions in the Kashmir region would reopen from Monday, after being closed for a week as a precautionary measure.
Education Minister Sakina Itoo confirmed that schools, colleges, and universities in all districts of Kashmir will resume functioning from Monday. (Agency)
