He further drew attention to the growing menace of deep potholes, broken roads, and leaking drains, which have become a major source of public distress. He pointed out that damaged drainage systems and open drains not only worsen the condition of roads but also pose a serious threat to the safety and health of common people. Stagnant water and sewage leakages have heightened the risk of infections and water-borne diseases, with residents living under constant fear of health hazards.

Waseem Mir urged the government to take immediate and effective steps for the repair, upgradation, and regular maintenance of roads, along with proper restoration of drainage systems, to ensure safe, hygienic, and smooth transportation for the public.

The Deputy Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to the concerns raised and assured Waseem Mir that the matter would be looked into on priority and necessary steps would be taken to address the issue.
