visakhapatnam: In a case of suspected murder, a woman was found dead in a pool of blood at her residence under Malkapuram police station limits in Vizag city on Thursday.The deceased was identified as Alka Singh (48), wife of an employee with the Indian Coast Guard.
The police said the woman was found murdered in her residence. Though the police are yet to ascertain the exact reasons for the murder, they suspect Alka Singh elder son Anmol Singh might have committed the murder following a heated argument with his mother over a laptop issue.
The police suspect that Anmol Singh was addicted to online games on laptop, and he murdered his mother by stabbing her, because she stopped him from playing online games on the laptop, and then hid her body inside a room.
The murder of the woman came to light after Alka Singh’s younger daughter returned from the college and searched for her.
Alka Singh’s husband was deployed in Odisha’s coast as a part of his duties.A case has been registered and the investigation is on to ascertain the exact reasons for the murder. The police have found a knife in a bag in the house.
