The Utility Patent titled “A System for Providing Secure Identity Authentication on Virtual Tourism Platforms and A Method of Secure Authentication Thereof” (Patent No. 572210, granted on October 16, 2025) marks a significant milestone in the advancement of quantum-secure identity verification and safe virtual tourism experiences.
This groundbreaking patent has been developed by Prof. (Dr.) Sat Prakash Bansal, Prof. (Dr.) Suman Sharma, Dr. Parveen Sadotra, Shri Mohd Yaseen Kichloo (IPS), and Ms. Rabia Koser — a team of esteemed academicians and professionals whose collaborative work aims to redefine digital trust in the era of the metaverse and immersive virtual platforms.
About the Patent: Redefining Digital Security
The patented system integrates Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), Zero-Knowledge Proof authentication, and AI-driven behavioral analysis to create a robust and future-ready digital identity framework.
It prevents impersonation, replay attacks, and data breaches, offering quantum-resistant security that remains unbreakable even in the age of quantum computing.
Additionally, it introduces a digital passport mechanism enabling secure and seamless access to AR/VR-based tourism environments.
Beyond Virtual Tourism
While initially designed for virtual tourism, the system’s modular design makes it adaptable to various other domains including digital banking, healthcare, e-commerce, and education, setting a foundation for secure virtual identity management in the metaverse.
Industry experts project early adoption of the technology by 2027, with potential integration into national digital ID and cross-border authentication systems by 2030.
