Ahead of the Independence Day celebrations, J&K Police and security forces, along with students from various schools and colleges, conducted a full-dress rehearsal of the Independence Day parade across the Kashmir Valley.
Various contingents, including J&K Police, J&K Armed Police, Home Guards, Fire & Emergency Services, Forest Protection Forces, IRP, CAPFs, NCC cadets, and school students, participated in the rehearsal. The ceremonies also featured a series of cultural performances by students and local artists, adding a vibrant and festive atmosphere to the events.

Anantnag: The rehearsal took place at Government Degree College, Khanabal. ADC Anantnag Shri Sandeep Singh Bali served as the chief guest, unfurling the National Flag and taking the salute at the march past. Students from various institutions presented colourful cultural programmes. Civil and police administration officers attended the event.

Awantipora: At DPL Awantipora, Tehsildar Shri Shakeel Ahmad unfurled the National Flag, inspected the parade, and took salute at the march past. Officers from civil administration, police, and other departments were present.

Baramulla: Full-dress rehearsal was held at Shukat Ali Stadium. ADC Baramulla Shri Syed Altaf Hussain-JKAS, accompanied by Addl. SP Baramulla, unfurled the National Flag and took the salute. Senior civil and police officers witnessed the event, along with vibrant cultural performances by students.

Kulgam: The parade at DPL Kulgam saw Additional District Development Commissioner Shri Altaf Ahmad Khan-JKAS and Addl. SP Shri Mohammad Aftab Awan-JKPS unfurl the National Flag and take the salute. Senior officers from civil and police administration attended.

Sopore: At Khushal Sports Stadium, Tehsildar Shri Sheikh Tariq unfurled the National Flag and took the salute. Addl. SP Shri Mir Murtaza, along with officers from police, security forces, and civil administration, were present.
