A newborn baby girl, abandoned in the bushes in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad, was adopted by a local police officer on Saturday. The infant’s cries alerted nearby residents, who quickly contacted the police.
Officers from the Dudhiya Peepal police outpost, led by Sub-Inspector Pushpendra Singh, immediately responded to the scene and rescued the baby. She was swiftly taken to Dasna CSC for a medical check-up and care. Despite efforts to locate her family, no one came forward to claim the child.
Moved by the situation, Sub-Inspector Pushpendra Singh and his wife, Rashi, decided to adopt the newborn. After discussing the matter, the couple began the legal process to welcome the baby into their family. Married since 2018 and without children, they viewed the baby’s arrival during the Navratri festival as a divine blessing.
Inspector Ankit Chauhan confirmed that the adoption process has been initiated, and the baby is currently in the care of the Singh family. Both Pushpendra and his wife are eager to complete the legal formalities and officially make the child a part of their family, expressing their deep joy and commitment to her future.
