Officials examined raw materials, ingredients, and finished food products at the vendors’ stalls. Food items found unfit for human consumption were destroyed on the spot. Vendors were instructed to strictly adhere to Good Hygienic Practices (GHP) and were warned against using newspapers or non-food-grade utensils for cooking or serving food.

The department emphasized that strict action will continue to be taken against violators under the provisions of the FSSA.

Reaffirming its commitment to public health, the Food Safety Department urged citizens to report food safety violations by calling the toll-free helpline 104.
