Despite continuous heavy rainfall across Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district, the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway remains open for traffic, officials told Media.
An official said, “The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway is open for vehicular movement despite persistent rain in the Ramban district since morning.”
However, the Khari–Mahoo road in the Banihal sub-division of Ramban district has been blocked near the Siran railway bridge due to mudslides.
Meanwhile, as a precautionary measure amid continuous rainfall and adverse weather conditions, the government this morning ordered the closure of all government and private schools in the district for the day. (Sources)
