7 cops among 14 injured after car collides with police vehicle in Alwar

The force of the collision was so severe that the car caught fire immediately after crashing into the rear of the police van.

Fourteen people, including seven police officers, sustained serious injuries when a car collided with a police vehicle on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Rajasthan’s Alwar district at around 6 a.m. on Tuesday.
The incident occurred as the police personnel were traveling from Alwar to Selvas jail in Dausa in a police van to escort an inmate.

The collision was so severe that the car burst into flames after crashing into the police van from behind. Local residents quickly came to the rescue, saving three family members trapped inside the burning vehicle.

Police teams arrived promptly and transferred all the injured to Pinan Hospital in Rajgarh. From there, five of the injured were referred to Rajiv Gandhi Hospital in Alwar district for further treatment.

The injured officers have been identified as Laman Singh (40), Vikas Singh (37), Duli Chand (35), Lokesh Yadav (30), Sardar Singh (50), and Rinku Meena.

Constables Rinku Meena and Vikas Singh were later referred to medical facilities in Jaipur for specialized care.The family members involved in the car accident were identified as Gulfam Khan (30), his wife Hina (28), sister-in-law Sahil, and their four children, aged between 4 and 10 years. They are all residents of Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh. (Agencies)
