Jammu, Oct 24: On the occasion of Diwali, the festival of lights and victory over evil,Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party president Ravinder Raina has greeted the people and prayed for peace, prosperity and progress.
Throwing light on the occasion, Raina said it is a festival of lights to celebrate victory over evil, light over darkness and awareness over ignorance, an occasion to celebrate life across the globe. This festival also marks the reincarnation of Mata Laxmi and lord Dhanwantri.
He said this occasion is marked all over when Lord Rama along with Sita Mata and brother Laxman returned to Ayodhiya after completion of their ‘Banwas'(the exile of 14 years) besides thumping victory over killing of demon Ravana, they were given a rousing reception by the people and entire Ayodhiya was illuminated with diyas.
Raina said he prays for all especially for the people of Jammu and Kashmir whom he congratulated and wished a happy and prosperous Diwali.
