AICHI-NAGOYA, September 30: India’s women’s compound archery team clinched the gold medal at the 2026 Asian Games after defeating China 238-234 in the final. The trio of Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Chikitha Taniparthi and Prithika Pradeep produced a world-record-equalling score of 238 points, matching South Korea’s mark from the 2014 Asian Games.
India maintained its lead throughout the final and finished with a perfect sequence of 10s. The victory also marked India’s seventh gold medal of the ongoing Games. For Jyothi, it was her fourth Asian Games gold, while Chikitha and Prithika secured their first Asiad gold medals.
