Youth drowns in Dhudhar Nullah

UDHAMPUR, July 26: A youth drowned when he along with his friends was taking bath in Dhudhar Nullah in Rehambal, here today.
Identity of the drowned youth was established as Atul Kumar (20), son of Bijender Singh, resident of village Bhainia Amirpur, Tehsil Narnund, District Hisar, Haryana State. He along with a group of 4-5 friends had come to the house of his brother in law in Rehambal area.
Reports said that the deceased, along with his friends, was taking bath in the nullah when he suddenly slipped into deep water and drowned. On being informed by his friends and relatives, SHO Rehambal Nishat Sumbria rushed to the spot along with police team and lunched a search operation during which body of the deceased was fished out. Later the body was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur for postmortem. Police have registered a case in this connection and initiated investigation.
