Virat Kohli thanks Babar Azam for ‘Stay Strong’ tweet amidst poor form – Keep shining and rising

Virat Kohli has been going through an indifferent run of form. After the Lord’s ODI, Babar Azam dropped a tweet, asking Kohli to ‘Stay Strong’.

Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli has been going through a rough phase in his career, having not been able to score runs on a consistent basis. The 33-year-old has with the bat in hand.

Kohli is currently taking part in the limited-overs series in England where he has faltered in the two innings where he has batted. On Thursday, July 14, Kohli started his knock with three fours in the second ODI against the Three Lions but got out to David Willey after scoring 16 runs.
Thereafter, Babar Azam, the all-format skipper of Pakistan, sent out a tweet backing the out-of-form batter. The 27-year-old had taken to Twitter and written, “This too shall pass. Stay strong. #ViratKohli”
In the meantime, Kohli didn’t forget to show his gratitude to Babar for the latter’s tweet. He replied to Babar and wrote, “Thank you. Keep shining and rising. Wish you all the best.”
“As a player myself, I know you can go through such a phase (out of form) and I also know what a player goes through in such a phase. In those times, you need support. I just tweeted thinking that it will give just some support. He is one of the best players,” Babar said.
“He is playing a lot of cricket and he knows how to come out of these situations. It takes time, if you back players, it will be really good,” he added.
