Two J&K Government Employees Dismissed Over Alleged Terror Links

Action taken by LG as officials allege links to Hizb-ul-Mujahideen and LeT outfits

Srinagar, Apr 08: Two government employees in Jammu and Kashmir have been terminated over alleged links to terrorist groups, sources said.

The employees have been identified as Farhat Ali Khanday and Mohammad Shafi Dar.

Officials said Farhat Ali Khanday, a Class-IV employee in the Education Department in Ramban, was allegedly working as a key facilitator for Hizb-ul-Mujahideen. Mohammad Shafi Dar, a resident of Bandipora and an employee in the Rural Development Department, was reportedly found to be an active associate of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

Officials added that the terminations were ordered by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. (Agency)
