TSWO Bhaderwah Organises Special Camps for Digital Life Certificates of NSAP Pensioners

Jammu Jan 3, 2026: In a significant initiative aimed at ensuring uninterrupted pension disbursement to beneficiaries, the Tehsil Social Welfare Officer (TSWO) Bhaderwah, Shahnawaz Kotwal, under the able guidance of the Deputy Commissioner Doda and the District Social Welfare Officer Doda, successfully organised three special camps for the generation of Digital Life Certificates (DLCs) of pensioners under the National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP).

The special camps were conducted at Chinote Panchayat, Sarnai Panchayat, and the office premises of the Tehsil Social Welfare Officer, Bhaderwah. The initiative was undertaken to facilitate elderly pensioners, many of whom face difficulties in travelling long distances or accessing digital services.

To ensure maximum outreach and inclusion, the department also carried out door-to-door visits, particularly targeting elderly, infirm, and differently-abled pensioners residing in far-flung and inaccessible areas of the sub-division. The proactive approach ensured that no eligible beneficiary was left out of the verification process.

During the camps and outreach activities conducted today, as many as 76 Digital Life Certificates were successfully generated. With this, the cumulative number of DLCs generated in Sub-Division Bhaderwah has reached 470 against the overall target of 1,300 pensioners.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bhaderwah, Sh. Sunil Bhutyal (JKAS), is personally monitoring the progress of the campaign on a daily basis. He has issued clear directions to the Tehsil Social Welfare Officer to expedite the process and ensure timely completion of DLC generation so that pension payments to beneficiaries are not disrupted.

The Social Welfare Department reiterated its commitment to providing citizen-centric services and urged all remaining pension beneficiaries to avail themselves of the facility at the earliest. The department also assured continued support through special camps and field visits to cover all eligible pensioners in the coming days.
