In a dramatic and fiery statement posted on Truth Social, U.S. President Donald J. Trump claimed that he personally intervened to stop what he described as the “biggest attack of the war” between Israel and Iran, warning that Iran was on the verge of complete devastation. The president harshly criticized Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei for declaring victory in the recent conflict with Israel, calling the statement “a lie” and “foolish.”

President Trump alleged that Iranian nuclear facilities were “obliterated” during the war and that he had precise intelligence on Khamenei’s whereabouts, but chose not to allow Israel or U.S. forces to eliminate him.

“I SAVED HIM FROM A VERY UGLY AND IGNOMINIOUS DEATH,” Trump wrote, adding that he demanded Israel recall a large fleet of aircraft heading toward Tehran in what he called a potential “final knockout.”

The president, known for his bold and unfiltered commentary, expressed disappointment that instead of gratitude, he was met with “anger, hatred, and disgust” from Iranian leadership. He revealed that he had been working behind the scenes on potential sanctions relief to support Iran’s recovery after the war but has now abandoned those efforts.

“Iran has to get back into the World Order flow, or things will only get worse for them,” Trump warned, describing the country as a “burned out, blown up” nation with “no hope.”

This statement is expected to further escalate tensions between Washington and Tehran, as diplomatic efforts remain frozen in the aftermath of the conflict. Iranian officials have not yet publicly responded to the U.S. President’s remarks.

The war, which erupted earlier this year, caused heavy casualties and widespread damage. While Iran’s leadership has claimed symbolic victory, military analysts say the country’s infrastructure and defense capabilities have been significantly degraded.

President Trump concluded his message with a call for peace, saying:

“You often get more with HONEY than you do with VINEGAR. PEACE!!!”
