The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President, Tariq Hameed Karra, who is currently in Delhi following the recent protest at Jantar Mantar demanding the restoration of complete statehood to J&K, is reportedly unwell. He is suffering from high fever, chest congestion, and a choked throat.
According to a statement issued here, Karra — who has been leading a sustained six-month-long movement advocating for the restoration of full statehood across Jammu and Kashmir — has been at the forefront of major protests in Srinagar, Jammu, and Delhi. Due to his health condition, he was unable to attend a scheduled press conference at the AICC headquarters, which was meant to brief the media on the Congress Party’s campaign under the banner ‘Hamari Riyasat Hamara Haq’.
Doctors have advised Karra complete rest until full recovery. The entire rank and file of the JKPCC have extended their prayers and best wishes for his speedy recovery.
