Jammu: In a crackdown against illegal and immoral activities, Jammu Police, South Zone conducted simultaneous surprise raids at multiple spa centres located at different places falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Channi Himmat, Sub-Division East of South Zone, Jammu.
The operation was a well-planned and coordinated action carried out by Jammu Police in collaboration with the civil administration, following repeated complaints received from members of civil society regarding alleged illegal and immoral activities being carried out in certain spa centres.
The raids were conducted by police teams led by the SHO PS Channi Himmat and other police officers, accompanied by lady police officials and an Executive Magistrate. During the operation, thorough checking of the spa centres was carried out. Relevant documents and registers maintained by the spa centres were scrutinised, and DVRs along with other incriminating material were seized from suspicious sites for further examination. Some persons have also been detained for questioning as part of the investigation.
The entire operation was conducted under the close supervision of SDPO East and SP City South, with overall supervision of SSP Jammu.
In this connection, one FIR No. 237/2025 under Section 24 of the Immigration Act/Foreigners Act and Section 223 BNS has also been registered at the concerned police station. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the involvement of any wider network.
