A Nowgam woman, married to a man from HMT Srinagar, decided to celebrate her husband Shahid Yaqoob Khan’s birthday in a truly extraordinary manner. Hina Bashir, a Program Coordinator at IMT University Dubai, aimed to surprise Shahid, a Dubai-based Mechanical Engineer and Professional Photographer, with a remarkable gift.
After contemplating various ideas, she settled on an exceptionally unique one – she acquired lunar real estate for approximately $30.
In an interview, Hina mentioned that Shahid’s adventurous spirit, coupled with his keen interest in planets and underwater exploration, influenced her choice. She believed that gifting him a plot of land on the Moon would perfectly align with his passion.
Hina expressed her joy in choosing a gift that she believed would capture her husband’s fascination with space and exploration.
It’s worth noting that Shahid Yaqoob became the first Kashmiri to own a piece of lunar land in 2022, joining a select few in Jammu and Kashmir who have ventured into this distinctive form of ownership.
