Singer Monali Thakur was rushed to the hospital recently after experiencing severe difficulty breathing during a live performance in Monali Thakur. The popular playback singer, known for hits such as Sawaar Loon and Moh Moh Ke Dhaage, was performing at the Dinhata Festival there when she suddenly started struggling to breathe. Witnesses at the event said Thakur appeared to be in acute distress and immediately halted her performance.
After her health deteriorated, Monali was rushed to Dinhata Sub-District Hospital. Her team quickly intervened, calling for medical assistance. Within minutes, an ambulance arrived, and the singer was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The singer was admitted to a private hospital in Cooch Behar. She is currently undergoing the treatment there.
Monali Thakur has not shared any health update on social media yet.
A few weeks ago, Monali had made headlines when she stopped her concert in Varanasi abruptly citing mismanagement, including an improper stage set up. She felt that it might be a risk for an ankle injury and apologised to her fans.
A video from the concert had gone viral, in which Monal was seen saying, âI am disheartened that my team and I were so excited to perform here. Letâs not talk about the infrastructure and its condition, as that is the managementâs responsibility. Time and again, Iâve said that I could injure my ankle here. My dancers have been telling me to calm down, but everything was a mess.”
The singer added. âWe were trying so hard because I am answerable to you all, and you come for me, right? So, you will hold me accountable for all of this. I hope I grow so much that I can take all the responsibility myself and never have to rely on any Tom, Dick, and Harry who are such a waste, unethical, and irresponsible. I sincerely apologise that we have to shut down this show, but I am going to come back for sure. And I hope I can give you a much better event than this. So, forgive us.”
