Search Operation in Baramulla Linked to Muslim League (Masrat Alam Faction) Activities: Police

BARAMULLA, April 18 — As part of ongoing efforts to curb unlawful activities and dismantle the terror ecosystem, Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted a search operation on April 17 at the residence of Masqood Allie, son of Mohammad Sultan Allie, a resident of Chakloo, Baramulla.

According to a police spokesperson, the operation was carried out in connection with an investigation under FIR No. 12/2024 registered under Sections 10 and 13 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. The search was conducted in the presence of an Executive Magistrate.

The search led to the recovery of several incriminating items, including six posters of the “Muslim League – Masrat Alam Faction,” one membership card, a Lava keypad phone with a SIM card, a Samsung smartphone (with battery and SIM card removed), a white pendrive, a locket-style pendrive, and ₹30,000 in cash.

All recovered materials have been seized as evidence, and the investigation is ongoing. Police stated that further legal action will be initiated based on the findings.

Baramulla Police reiterated its commitment to maintaining peace and order in the district and emphasized that stringent measures will continue to be taken against all unlawful elements to ensure public safety.
