The residents complained that they are compelled to fetch water from far-off places, causing immense hardship for families, especially women and children.

Traffic movement remained affected for some time as the demonstrators blocked the road to press their demands. The protesters appealed to higher authorities to intervene and ensure the immediate restoration of regular water supply in the area. (Agencies)
