Rahul trying to incite communal disharmony, hatred in J&K: Dr Jitendra

Union Minister and BJP leader Dr Jatender Singh addressed the election rally in Sanasar in favour of BJP candidate Rakesh Singh on Thursday.

SANASAR (RAMBAN), Sept 5: Taking serious exception to the statement of Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi who has said that BJP is spreading hatred in the country, Union Minister of State with Independent charge for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences, Dr Jitendra Singh said here today that Rahul Gandhi was trying to incite communal disharmony and hatred in J&K.

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of an election rally in support of BJP candidate for Ramban Assembly segment, Rakesh Thakur, Dr Jitendra Singh took serious exception to yesterday’s statement of Rahul Gandhi who said that BJP is spreading hatred in J&K.

Dr Jitendra Singh, while terming the statement totally misleading and unfortunate said it was Narendra Modi Government which pulled J&K out of turmoil -the seeds of which were sown by dynastic parties like National Conference (NC) and Congress due to their misrule of seven decades.

He said it is beginning of new era in J&K as the people move freely in the streets of Srinagar which wasn’t possible earlier nor the leaders of the Congress and NC could dare to come out of their guarded bungalows to move outside. “This change which is visible today in Kashmir is because of Modi’s efforts and both Congress and NC are trying to push J&K back to the era of turmoil and hatred for their vested political interests,” he added.

He asked do Congress and NC want to push J&K into same conditions in which it was before 2019. He said it indicated that these two parties don’t want that the daughters of J&K married outside get the inheritance rights on their parental property. He asked do these parties want to deprive the women of their rights?

Dr Jitendra Singh, while giving credit to Narendra Modi for strengthening grassroots democracy in the J&K, said for the first time the elections to basic institutes of democracy were held in J&K which the Congress and NC did not want to be held as they do not want that the power should percolate to grassroots level.

Dr Jitendra Singh said that these parties wanted to promote their dynasties and were not interested that the money given by Centre for the Panchayats and local bodies should reach to Sarpanchs and Panchs but to be deposited in their personnel coffers.

Addressing the rally later, Dr Jitendra Singh said BJP will not allow Congress and National Conference (NC) to push back  Jammu & Kashmir into the same condition from where Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has so painstakingly pulled it out and put it on the path of progress, development and equal rights for every citizen.

Dr Jitendra Singh asked the audience, would they like Congress Party to once again deprive them of their legitimate rights as was the condition before 5th of August 2019. Would our brothers and sisters like to become refugees again? he asked.

Dr Jitendra Singh particularly addressed the women folk in the audience and asked “will you like your daughters to be deprived of the property rights of their parents as was the conditions before 5th August 2019”. At this, all the women folk in the audience loudly responded in one voice, “No- No”.

The Union Minister went on to say, the Congress and National Conference are repeatedly claiming that they will restore Article 370 and deprive the daughters and sisters of Jammu & Kashmir of their property rights. He said this is a mischievous design of these political parties and their leaders to retain and grab the properties of their sisters and daughters, and serve their selfish interest. He said, “Today’s age is of the 21st century, when India is a part of the global world and will all this ever be allowed or digested? BJP is determined not to ever allow this to happen because Modi has liberated us from such draconian laws with tremendous courage”, he added.

Dr Jitendra Singh said, Ramban was the central point of National Highway from Jammu to Srinagar but each time it made news or headlines in the newspaper, it was for landslides causing road blocks for days together and the prices of essential commodities would go up multiple times causing hardship for stranded passengers.

The same Ramban today, said Dr Jitendra Singh, is only two hours away from Jammu as the traffic is so smooth and, roadblocks and landslides are things of the past. He said, all this has been made possible with the patronage of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a result of which we have new bridges, road tunnels and new highways built across the Ramban region. The MLAs from Congress and NC who were part of the Government in the State did not find it important to attend to this area and became insecure, he added.

Appealing for a vote for BJP candidate, Dr Jitendra Singh said, it is essential that the Ramban receives a voice in the Assembly and all their problems and issues go on record which may be addressed by authorities here. The benefits of the double engine and the benefits provided by the Modi Government will smoothly be translated on the ground by the BJP representative from here, he added.

Dr Jitendra Singh said, BJP is a cadre based party and all its Karyakartas believe in “Nation first” and collectively work for the victory of “Lotus”.
