The Porsche involved in the Pune hit-and-run incident.

Pune News:The family of the teenager, accused in the Pune Porsche hit-and-run case, has filed a petition for the return of the luxury car involved in the incident that killed two IT engineers in May.

A court hearing in the case of the family’s petition is scheduled for August 26. The police have been directed to submit their report by August 28.

Meanwhile, the Pune Police have arrested two more persons in connection with the May 19 case, in which two IT engineers – Aneesh Awadhiya and his friend Ashwini Koshta – died after the speeding Porsche driven by the 17-year-old, who was allegedly drunk, hit their motorcycle in Kalyanai Nagar junction.

With the latest arrests, the number of persons held in the Porsche car crash has shot up to nine, police said. The arrested people were arrested in connection with the alleged swapping of blood samples in the hit-and-run case.

A police probe has revealed that the blood samples of the teen accused’s friends, both minors, who were in the luxury car at the time of the incident, were swapped with two people at the Maharashtra government-run Sassoon Hospital. One of them was the father of the accused’s friend, Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar said.

The Pune police recently filed a chargesheet of 900 pages in the case against seven accused arrested earlier.

In July, a Pune court granted the teen’s builder father, Vishal S Agarwal, and grandfather, Surendrakumar B Agarwal, bail in the case of kidnapping and the wrongful confinement of their family driver.
