MATHURA (UP), Mar 20: President Droupadi Murmu, currently on a three-day visit to Uttar Pradesh, on Friday met Premanand Ji Maharaj at his ashram, Radha Keli Kunj in Mathura.
The President also attended the saint’s sermon, officials said.
Later in the day, she is scheduled to visit the ‘Samadhi’ of Neem Karoli Baba in Vrindavan and pay floral tributes. She will also visit Udiya Baba Ashram and Davanal Kund.
President Murmu will inaugurate the new Oncology Block at Ramakrishna Mission Sevashram and later visit Vatsalya Gram.
On March 21, she is scheduled to offer prayers and participate in ‘aarti’ at Danghati Mandir in Govardhan, followed by the Govardhan Parikrama.
The President arrived in Mathura on Thursday evening, where she was received by Anandiben Patel, state ministers, and senior officials at the Cantt helipad.
Earlier, she visited the ISKCON temple in Vrindavan, participated in ‘aarti’, and later visited Prem Mandir, where she witnessed the temple’s laser show. She also offered prayers at a Radha Krishna temple and performed the evening ‘aarti’. (Agencies)
