Jammu and Kashmir Police in Sopore have apprehended a drug peddler and seized contraband substances from him.
A police spokesperson stated that during a checkpoint inspection at Maharajpora, Sopore, officers arrested Himayun Rasool Kundoo, son of Ghulam Rasool Kundoo, a resident of Sher Colony, Sopore. A significant quantity of poppy straw was recovered from him during the search.
He added that a case has been registered under FIR No. 157/2025 at Police Station Sopore under the relevant sections of law, and an investigation is currently underway. (Agencies)
