As the Lok Sabha begins the discussion on ‘Operation Sindoor’ today, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju drew a sharp comparison to mythological references, warning of consequences for cross-border aggression.
In a post on X, Rijiju wrote:
“Discussion on Operation Sindoor to begin today… When Ravan crossed the Laxman Rekha, Lanka burned. When Pakistan crossed the red lines drawn by India, terrorist camps faced the fire!”
He was referring to India’s strong retaliatory actions, including precision strikes on terror launchpads across the Line of Control, carried out in response to Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.
Operation Sindoor, a code-named mission reportedly involving Indian forces neutralizing key terror threats across the border, is now being discussed in Parliament, marking a significant moment in India’s national security discourse. The operation is being hailed as a strategic success by the government, showcasing India’s zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism. (Agencies)
