3rd District Doda Taekwondo Championship – 2022 from 20 to 21 November 2022, organised by District Doda Taekwondo Association Under the Aegis of J&K Taekwondo Association headed by Burhan Ud Din Khan (Secretary DDTA) Sponsored by Shaheen Public Hr.Sec School Doda and co sponsored by Famishd – Food & Grocery delivery, Delta Multi Speciality clinic (DMC), Khan & Sons, Adil Bakers, AFC Gym, Cafe Yakjah, Bliss Cafe, Halal Basket, Rukwals Little Hut, and Hotel Rehmat Plaza at Community Hall, here today.
Shri Ankur Sharma Commanding Officer (10RR) graced the opening ceremony as chief guest along with Shri Raj Kumar Operation SP Doda, Major Hitesh Yadav (10RR), Shri Ashraf Khurwani (DIO) Doda and Shri Jaffar Haider Sheikh (DYSSO), Doda as guest of honor.
The event was designed for the selection of upcoming J&K UT level Taekwondo championship wherein around 200 players participated.Chief Guest Shri Ankur Sharma wished the organizing committee good luck and assured full support to the athletes of Doda.
The event went highly amazing as the enthusiasm among the kids and parents were marvellous. The championship was organised in two aspects of Taekwondo i.e. Kyorugi and Poomsae.
Mr Yawer Khurwani presented a cash reward of Rs 5000 on behalf of M.D, Shaheen Public School to the organizing committee.
Mr. Junaid Ali Khan (President DDTA), Mr Nadeem Niaz Zargar (Vice President DDTA), Shri Tariq Hussain (Observer DDTA) Mr. Muzamil Khan QAOrganising Secretary DDTA), Shri Brinder Singh Manhas ( Technical Director DDTA) and many others were present during the event.
The championship was supported by many Coaches and National athletes including Nadeem Zargar (Coach CSA), Babar Mujahid (Coach, BMH), Muzamil Rashid Malik (Coach BMH) and Haroon Zafar (National player).
Shri Junaid Ali Khan (President, DDTA) presented a vote of thanks to all the esteemed guests on behalf of District Doda Taekwondo Association.
