The ongoing Amarnath Yatra has emerged as a powerful symbol of spiritual unity beyond borders, as a group of foreign nationals joined thousands of devotees to seek blessings at the sacred Amarnath Cave shrine this year.
Nine pilgrims from six different countries undertook the yatra via the Baltal route, reflecting a shared devotion that transcends nationality and highlights global faith in India’s spiritual traditions.
These devotees from the United States, Canada, Germany, and other countries described the pilgrimage as a profoundly moving experience.
They expressed heartfelt appreciation for the warm hospitality extended to them in Kashmir.
The foreign yatris said it was difficult to put into words the joy and spiritual fulfillment they felt after visiting the Amarnath Cave shrine and performing darshan.
“We have been planning and preparing for this yatra for several years. Finally, we are here,” said a devotee from Canada. “Being in Kashmir, surrounded by its breathtaking nature and spiritual energy, was overwhelming. During darshan at the cave, I couldn’t hold back my tears—there was a deep sense of peace.”
He added that while the trek was physically demanding, it was a deeply rewarding journey.
“If you ever get the chance, or feel called to visit, don’t hesitate. This is a truly powerful place,” he said.
The pilgrims praised both the hospitality of the local people and the smooth arrangements made for the yatra.
Notably, last year also saw several foreign visitors—including celebrities—make the spiritual journey to the Amarnath Cave shrine for darshan.
