File PIc.

Senior Congress stalwart Ghulam Nabi Azad’s resignation from the party at a time when party chief Sonia Gandhi along with her children Priyanka and Rahul was on a tour to foreign country for health issues,is clear indication that there was something fishy in between Congress party and Ghulam Nabi Azad which was exposed by the News Insider in its reports carried by it and pulling out of the party vindicates that there was not everything good going on in the Organization.

News Insider has been keeping a hawk’s eye on the developments that have been going on since Congress stalwart Ghulam Nabi Azad suggested names of some prominent and senior leaders of the party for the post of president Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee, which include GM Saroori, Tariq Hameed Karra, besides Vikar Rasool and others to the Congress high command at New Delhi, but his suggestions very not entertained by them and junior most Vikar Rasool was kept under consideration for the coveted post.

The Azad camp opposed this move of the high command and News Insider carried a report in this behalf while giving a detailed coverage of the developments that were taking place between Azad and his loyalists, others and the party itself. During the time J&K Affairs in-charge and senior  Congress leader Rajni Patil visited Jammu and Kashmir and Vikar Rasool hurriedly organized a press conference in Srinagar. He alleged that News Insider’s report was not based on facts and there was no infighting in the Congress party at all in J&K, he said to the media.

Later on Congress high command gave the green signal to Vikar’s name and he was appointed as JKPCC chief which pinched Azad and his loyalists. In the meantime the resignation of Ghulam Nabi Azad from the Congress party was last nail to the coffin vindicating this channel’s news report.

It is pertinent to mention here that all rebels who disassociated themselves from the Congress party have formed a group all over in the country which has been named as G-23.Azad and his loyalists is said to be part of this group. Our reliable sources believe that this group is going to launch a political party at national level and Ghulam Nabi Azad will be leading it as its chief from Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, sources added.
