Jammu, Nov 11: Inspired by the lifestyle and acts of former prime minister of India and Bharatiya Janata Party stalwart Atal Bihari Vajpayee I have been completing my journey from a homeless poor person hailing from a remote area of Sunderbani in Rajouri district to president BJP unit of Jammu and Kashmir in a simple and straight way says Ravinder Raina during an impressive interview with chief editor of News Insider 24×7 digital channel and Public Herald newspaper, Masood Malik here today.
Raina said that he has been inspired by Shri Atal Ji right from the beginning and read al most all the books and write ups on him by the great writers of our country. And,there were many similarities between us which include that we are singles,have no house of our own,no property at all, and what to say about other things I didnot had even a meagre amount of Rs 100 in my pocket when PM Narendra Modi, HM Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh announced ticket for MLA and gave me mandate to fight elections in 2012 from my hometown Nowshera,he further added.
Recherishing his past down the memory lane, Raina said he has been working very hard right from his school and college days and was used to ask his childhood friends for money whenever he needed it for social purposes.We used to call on meetings in the building of a Government School at Lamberi in my home town at the initial stage and gradually I started to help poor ,downtrodden and under privileged people of society without any caste, creed and colour, Raina added.
‘I do not posses any personal property in my country and there is nothing more than to me than my country’ were the words Raina uttered in a very emotional mood. He said that he wanted to qualify IAS but he could not make it, yet he got a graceful job in Indian Navy with a handsome salary but my heart remained restless to do something extraordinary as a result I left the job after working for 2 months and 17 days and came back to serve my people .I got a chance to met Shri Atal Bihari ji personally in 2004 and observed his persona very keenly hence joined politics as a preacher in 2012 and visited militancy infested areas of Rajouri, Poonch, Doda, Kashmir and used to console the families who had become victims of militancy, Raina maintained.
I have been since than tirelessly working for all sections of society besides down trodden, poor and under privileged people without any caste, creed or colour and I will continue as long as I can, he said,adding those who guard our country,love our country, who are patriotic I, can sacrifice last drop of my blood for them, my aim is to do the works the God has given me in the form of to serve the gullible people will be done with sincerity and honestly, Raina maintained.
