Jammu: The stage was set to register a massive protest against the Government for delaying the election process in Jammu & Kashmir scheduled for October 10, 2023, by all Opposition parties across the union territory of J&K in Maharaja Hari Singh Park, Jammu, turns out to be a flop show as top leadership of mainstream political parties skipped the much-hyped program, sending shocking waves into the political corridors, sources said here today.

Representatives of twenty political parties across the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, which include, National Conference, Peoples Democratic Party, Congress, CPIM, Shiv Sena (UBT), Dogra Swabhiman Party, Awami National Conference, Panthers Party, and many more today assembled at the venue and were joined by the locals to participate in the protest to highlight their demand and press the LG administration to hold elections viz a viz restore suspended democratic setup besides solving other burning issues of the people in Jammu & Kashmir.

October 10 was proposed and scheduled for staging a massive protest demonstration by the representatives of at least 20 parties from far and wide against J&K administration. This was stated by NC president Dr. Farooq Abdullah during a press conference organized soon after All Party Meeting held under the chairmanship of Dr. Farooq here in a hotel on October 3, 2023. The absence of National Conference president Dr. Farooq Abdullah and president Peoples Democratic Party Mehbooba Mufti was felt highly among the participants who had assembled to listen to Dr. Farooq in particular.
