MS Dhoni duped of over Rs 15 crore by former business partners, files case in Ranchi court

Cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni has filed a criminal case in Ranchi against two officials of Aarka Sports Managment over a soured 2017 cricket academy deal.

The case has been filed against Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Vishwash. Diwakar allegedly signed an agreement with Dhoni in 2017 for running a cricket academy globally but did not stick to the terms mentioned in the agreement.

Reports state that reminders and legal notices were also sent, but to no avail, prompting Dhoni to take back the authority letter granted to the company on August 15th, 2021. Dayanand Singh, who is representing the Ranchi-born cricketer via Vidhi Associates revealed that Aarka Sports cheated them, resulting in a loss of ₹15 crore.

Dhoni’s friend Simant Lohani, popularly known as Chittu, has also filed a complaint, alleging that he was threatened and abused by Mihir Diwakar after they took legal action against Aarka Sports.
