The Meteorological Department in Srinagar has issued a weather advisory for Jammu and Kashmir, forecasting moderate rain along with intense showers, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds in several areas over the next 6 to 8 hours.
Authorities have urged the public to exercise caution and refrain from stepping outdoors during this time. “Residents are advised to remain indoors or take safe shelter, and stay away from water bodies, weak structures, and landslide-prone zones,” the MeT Department said.
Officials added that the weather situation is being closely monitored, and timely updates will be provided as necessary.
