Srinagar, Feb 10: A mentally unsound person died after succumbing to injuries sustained in a road accident in the Chanapora area of Srinagar, officials said on Tuesday.
An official told news agency that the unidentified man was hit by a Swift Dzire car bearing registration number JK01AU-0385 near Chanapora on Monday.
The injured person was immediately shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar, where he later succumbed to his injuries, the official said.
Police have registered FIR No. 16/2026 at Saddar Police Station under relevant sections of law and taken up an investigation. The identity of the deceased is yet to be established. (Agencies)
