Srinagar, Jan 28: A man from Uttar Pradesh was found dead inside his hotel room near Dal Lake in Srinagar late Tuesday night, officials said.
An official told the news agency Kashmir News Observer (Agencies)) that the man was found unconscious in his room around midnight and was immediately shifted to SMHS Hospital.
Doctors at the hospital declared him dead on arrival, following which the necessary medico-legal formalities were conducted.
The deceased has been identified as Taranjit Singh (41), son of Pushvandar Singh, a resident of Uttar Pradesh. Further investigation into the cause of death is underway, the official added. (Agencies)
