LoP Sunil Sharma Receives Union Home Minister Amit Shah at Assam’s Guwahati Airport

Asif Iqbal Naik || Jammu Dec 29:  Leader of Opposition in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly and BJP’s Co-Incharge for the 2026 Assam Assembly elections, Sunil Sharma, on Monday received Union Home Minister Amit Shah at the Guwahati Airport.

The visit of the Union Home Minister assumes significance as the Bharatiya Janata Party has intensified its organisational and strategic preparations ahead of the 2026 Assam Assembly polls. During his visit, Amit Shah is scheduled to hold a series of meetings with the state leadership and senior party functionaries to review organisational matters, development initiatives and the party’s future roadmap.

Taking to social media, Sunil Sharma expressed his gratitude on the occasion and wrote, “Honoured to receive Hon’ble Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah Ji at Guwahati Airport. Looking forward to productive discussions for the nation’s growth.”

Sunil Sharma, who is actively involved in strengthening the BJP’s organisational structure in Assam as Co-Incharge, has been coordinating with the state unit to enhance outreach and mobilisation at the grassroots level. Amit Shah’s visit is expected to provide strategic direction to the party and further reinforce BJP’s focus on development, good governance and inclusive growth in Assam and the Northeast.
