The visit is aimed at strengthening organisational preparedness, reviewing grassroots-level feedback, and coordinating election strategy ahead of the upcoming Assembly polls.

Sunil Sharma has been entrusted by the BJP central leadership with key organisational and electoral responsibilities in Assam, including coordination with state and district units, monitoring booth-level preparedness, strengthening cadre mobilisation, and ensuring effective implementation of the party’s election roadmap. His role also involves acting as a vital link between the central leadership and the state unit to ensure a cohesive, disciplined, and result-oriented campaign.

Taking to his social media platform, Sunil Sharma expressed gratitude for the warm reception and said, “Honoured to have been received by MLA Diplu Ranjan Sarma and the district team at the District Headquarters in Haflong, Dima Hasao, Assam. Looking forward to working together for the upcoming elections.”

During his previous visit to Assam, Sunil Sharma held a series of meetings with senior party leaders, district office bearers, and grassroots workers, where he reviewed organisational strength, election preparedness, and discussed strategies to further consolidate the BJP’s position across key regions of the state.

Notably, Sunil Sharma was also present during the recent visit of BJP National President Nitin Nahbi to Assam, during which high-level organisational meetings were held to review the party’s preparedness for the Assembly elections. The visit focused on strengthening coordination among party leaders, assessing booth-level performance, and sharpening the BJP’s roadmap for retaining power in the state.

Party sources said that Sharma’s continued presence in Assam reflects the BJP’s focused political strategy and intensive groundwork as it gears up to secure a third consecutive mandate in the state.
