The Vigilance Division of the Kwar Hydroelectric Project (KHEP), Kishtwar, successfully observed Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 from October 27 to November 2, 2025, under the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.”
Awareness and Activities
Throughout the week, various programs were organized to promote the values of integrity, transparency, and accountability among employees and the public. Banners and posters highlighting the theme were displayed at prominent locations within and around the project premises.
A series of engaging activities marked the observance, including:
* Competitions for Employees: Essay Writing, Speech, Slogan Writing, and Quiz Competitions.
* Competitions for Students: A Painting Competition at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kishtwar, and a Quiz Competition at Jammu University Campus, Kishtwar.
* Community Outreach: A Gram Sabha was held at Padyarna, emphasizing the collective responsibility of citizens in promoting vigilance and eradicating corruption.
Closing Ceremony and Key Addresses
The week-long observance concluded with a Closing Ceremony, graced by Shri Ramesh Mukhiya, Managing Director, Chenab Valley Power Projects Limited (CVPPL), as the Chief Guest, and Shri S.K. Giri, Head of Project, Kwar Hydroelectric Project, as the Guest of Honour.
In his address, Shri S.K. Giri encouraged all employees to remain steadfast in their commitment to honesty, transparency, and ethical conduct, echoing the central theme that “Vigilance is our shared responsibility.”
Shri Sunil Kumar Choudhary, Project Vigilance Officer, delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing heartfelt appreciation to all dignitaries, participants, and staff members for their active cooperation and support throughout the week.
Prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners among employees and students, recognizing their outstanding creativity and enthusiasm.
The successful observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 at Kwar Hydroelectric Project reaffirmed the shared commitment of CVPPL and its workforce toward building a transparent, accountable, and corruption-free society.
