Dr Nilofar Khan, vice-chancellor of Kashmir University (KU), said on Saturday that the university will announce winter vacations for a limited time and as needed. She told the Kashmir News Observer (KNO) on the sidelines of an event that the mechanism of working and functioning of universities differs from that of schools.
“We cannot keep it on par with school-level mechanisms or systems.” We will announce winter vacations for a limited time based on infrastructure availability and our needs,” she said. She added, however, that the varsity’s already scheduled examinations will be held on time, and that teaching faculty will continue their academics as usual.
