Jammu, Nov 07, 2025 – In a strong move against narcotics, Kishtwar Police has stepped up its anti-drug campaign, resulting in the arrest of three drug peddlers over the past three days. During the operations, officers recovered 7.5 grams of heroin, 70 grams of charas, 32 psychotropic capsules (Pyeevon Spas Plus), and ₹7,500 in cash.
SSP Kishtwar, Sh. Naresh Singh (JKPS) stated that the district police continue a strict crackdown on drug smugglers and peddlers, ensuring that no offender escapes the law.
The operations were conducted under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kishtwar, Dr. Ishan Gupta (JKPS) and SHO Police Station Kishtwar, Inspector Firdous Ahmed, along with other officers. Case-wise details are as follows:
1. FIR No. 225/2025 (dated 03/11/2025) – Accused: Anzar Beigh S/o Ghulam Qadir Beigh, R/o Kamalpura Chehrar, Kishtwar
Recovery: 7.5 grams heroin, 32 Pyeevon Spas Plus capsules, ₹7,500 cash
2. FIR No. 226/2025 (dated 04/11/2025) – Accused: Amir Khan Sheikh S/o Shah Mohd Sheikh, R/o Dhossa Bhallesa
Recovery: 33 grams charas
3. FIR No. 227/2025 (dated 05/11/2025) – Accused: Pinku Kumar S/o Girdhari Lal, R/o Chandali Sarthal, Kishtwar
Recovery: 35 grams charas
All cases are registered at the respective police stations, and investigations are ongoing to trace the networks behind this illicit trade.
SSP Kishtwar reaffirmed the police’s zero-tolerance policy against drugs and urged the public to cooperate by providing information on drug trafficking, helping authorities to dismantle these networks
