The wait is over and we have got our Bigg Boss 18 winner! After a thrilling journey inside the BB house, Karan Veer Mehra clinched the trophy and made his fans proud. The finalists of this season were: Vivian Dsena, Karan Veer Mehra, Avinash Mishra, Eisha Singh, Chum Darang and Rajat Dalal.
After a tough competition, Karan Veer Mehra emerged as Bigg Boss 18’s winner and bagged the trophy and prize money. Vivian Dsena became the 1st runner-up. Rajat Dalal snatched the third place.
The 18th season of Bigg Boss premiered on October 4, 2024, with Salman Khan returning as the host. This season introduced a mix of celebrities as contestants, including Vivian Dsena, Karan Veer Mehra, Avinash Mishra, Chaahat Pandey, Alice Kaushik, Eisha Singh, Muskan Bamne, Shehzada Dhami, Shilpa Shirodkar, Gunaratna Sadavarte, Arfeen Khan, Sara Arfeen Khan, Tajinder Singh Bagga, Hema Sharma (popular as Viral Bhabhi), Shrutika Arjun, Nyrra M Banerjee, Chum Darang, and Rajat Dalal. Wild card entries included Digvijay Rathee, Kashish Kapoor, Yamini Malhotra, Edin Rose, and Aditi Mistry.
Reportedly, this year’s winner will take home Rs 50 lakh, the same amount as the prize in Bigg Boss 17, where stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui emerged victorious. The trophy, matching the lavish gold-themed house interiors, features an all-gold design.
Over the show’s history, the prize money has varied. In the first five seasons, winners such as Rahul Roy, Ashutosh Sharma, Vindu Dara Singh, Shweta Tiwari, and Juhi Parmar received Rs 1 crore each. From season 6 onward, the amount began to fluctuate. The lowest prize was Rs 25 lakh in season 8, won by Gautam Gulati. Other notable prizes include Rs 30 lakh for Dipika Kakkar in season 12 and Rs 50 lakh for Sidharth Shukla in season 13.
Guest appearances have also been a big attraction. Pamela Anderson reportedly earned Rs 2.5 crore for a three-day stint in season 4, while Rimi Sen was paid Rs 2 crore weekly in season 15. Wrestler The Great Khali and cricketer Sreesanth each earned Rs 50 lakh for their memorable appearances.
