Directed by and starring Kangana Ranaut, the film delves into the tumultuous Emergency period of 1975, a significant chapter in Indiaās history. Ahead of the filmās release, the actress hosted a special screening of the film for Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in Mumbai. Kangana Ranaut and CM Ā Devendra Fadnavis greeted each other with folded hands before heading for the screening. The CM watched the special screening of the film along with Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha and other MLAs. A live video post shared on CM Devendra Fadnavisā social media handle shows him praising the film, as well as Kangana Ranautās portrayal of Indira Gandhi in it. He congratulated the actress for her performance in the film, and said in Hindi, āThe way Kangana ji has portrayed Indira jiās character in front of us, I want to congratulate her.
