Srinagar, March 18: The Jammu and Kashmir government has confirmed that Rehbar-e-Khel teachers will be regularized after seven years of satisfactory service. This clarification came in response to a question raised by Choudhary Mohammad Akram in the Legislative Assembly.In a written reply, the government referred to a policy introduced in 2017 (Government Order No. 141-Edu(YSS)) which outlines that Rehbar-e-Khel teachers will be made permanent after seven years of continuous service, as long as there are available positions for Physical Education Teachers.The government also stated that any future job openings in the department will be reserved for the regularization of Rehbar-e-Khel teachers and will not be filled by other candidates.This move is aimed at providing job security for these teachers.The announcement has been welcomed by Rehbar-e-Khel teachers, who have been waiting for confirmation of their regular status after years of service. This step ensures that Rehbar-e-Khel teachers are prioritized for permanent positions, supporting their career growth and stability.
