Jammu, Feb 03, 2026: Jammu (Rural) Police arrested three drug peddlers and recovered 9.09 grams of heroin-like substance during a naka checking at Nagbani Chowk, Domana. The operation was carried out on specific inputs by a police team from Police Station Domana led by Inspector Varuneshwar Singh, SHO Domana.
The arrested accused have been identified as Amit Kesar, son of Vijay Kumar, resident of Lane No. 01, House No. 01, Marh, Jammu, who attempted to project himself as a media person during questioning; Gokul Singh, son of Madan Singh, resident of Aithem, Jammu; and Daljeet Singh, son of Sandal Singh, resident of Shekapeer, Marh, Jammu.
Besides the contraband, police also recovered ₹76,400 in cash suspected to be proceeds of drug trafficking, along with foil papers and burnt currency notes. The vehicle bearing registration number JK14C-1100, which was being used for transporting the narcotics, was also seized on the spot.
In this connection, FIR No. 28/2026 under Sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Domana, and all the accused have been formally arrested.
Further investigation is underway to trace both forward and backward linkages of the drug network.
