Jammu, 03 January 2025: In view of the forthcoming Republic Day celebrations and the heightened security arrangements, Police Station Bahu Fort have registered five cases under Section 223 of the BNS against house owners for violating the orders of the District Magistrate, Jammu, by keeping tenants in their residential premises without mandatory police verification.
The details of the cases registered are as under:
1. FIR No. 02/2025 against Bahar Ahmed Naik, S/o Ghulam Nabi Naik, R/o Khadi, Ramban; A/P Pali Hill, Bathindi.
2. FIR No. 03/2025 against Qiaser Nizami, S/o Mohd Amin Nizami, R/o Firdous Colony, Chand Pura, Srinagar; A/P Pali Hill, Bathindi, Jammu.
3. FIR No. 04/2025 against Umer Jan, S/o Ghulam Nabi Bhat, R/o Bemina Housing Colony near Masjid Ibrahim, Srinagar; A/P H. No. 159-D, Palli Hill, Bathindi.
4. FIR No. 05/2025 against Sajad Ahmed, S/o Mohd Ayoub, R/o Doda; A/P Bathindi Nallah, Barmini Road, Bathindi.
5. FIR No. 06/2025 against Sadam Hussain, S/o Abdul Majid Sheikh, R/o Chachawah, Ramban; A/P Bathindi Nallah.
The enforcement drive was carried out by SHO Bahu Fort under the close supervision of SDPO City East, SP City South, Jammu and overall supervision of SSP Jammu.
These cases have been registered as part of a routine verification and enforcement drive to ensure strict compliance with tenant verification norms, especially in view of the Republic Day celebrations and associated security measures.
Jammu Police once again appeal to all house owners to strictly adhere to the tenant verification guidelines and cooperate with the police. Citizens are urged to remain vigilant and extend full cooperation to maintain peace, law and order, and to ensure a safe and secure environment during the upcoming Republic Day celebrations.
