Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday conducted coordinated searches at 26 locations across Kishtwar district, including the residence of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Mohammad Amin Bhat, alias “Jehangir Saroori,” officials said.
The raids come a day after similar searches were carried out at 15 locations in the nearby Doda district as part of a continued crackdown on the terror ecosystem in the region.
Bhat, who joined the proscribed terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen in the 1990s, is considered the longest surviving terrorist in the area.
